About
the Speakers
Steven Schuettinger – Oracle Solution Architect, NetApp
Steven began his career working as an application developer for
a US defense contractor using Oracle version 5. He soon became a
DBA where he focused on performance and manageability. Steve was
the first Oracle DBA at Sun Microsystems, in Silicon Valley, in
1992 and worked as their technical alliance manager with Oracle.
He has been consulting with customers for many years while
managing the technical aspects of the relationship between NetApp,
where he has worked since 2005, and Oracle. During his career he
has developed an interactive style of working with DBAs where he
talks about the challenges they face and the unique solutions
NetApp provides. All of these discussions are delivered in the
language of the DBA, rather than the storage administrator.
Tony Lee, System Engineer Manager Canada West, NetApp
